We are looking to hire a Lead PHP developer to maintain and scale complex web applications. This role requires a growth-oriented mindset to lead a team, a strong sense of ownership, and leadership qualities with soft skills for client and team interaction. You will be part of our clients’ SWAT team, providing high-impact support to end clients.

To ensure seamless collaboration and responsiveness, this team operates entirely within the Eastern Time (ET) zone.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Maintain and optimize scalable PHP/React-based applications and services.
Act as the primary technical task force for urgent client issues, ensuring immediate availability and quick resolution of critical production incidents during ET business hours.
Focus on the rapid development, maintenance, and optimization of complex PHP services to address evolving client requirements and minimize system downtime.
Serve as a bridge between technical implementation and client needs by directly coordinating with stakeholders, absorbing complex system details, and ensuring seamless communication during support initiatives.
Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and quickly absorb complex system details.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and security.
Maintain full availability during Eastern Timezone business hours to align with client needs.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Solid experience with PHP, React is a plus
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance and manage deliverables proactively.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with modern web development practices (REST, GraphQL, microservices).
Proficiency in debugging and test automation.
Strong communication skills in English.
